Kittens

Here are a few recent pictures from our newest animal fostering experience: three little orphaned kittens. They were about ten days old when we got the call that they needed a home for a few weeks until they are old enough to be adopted. Now they are about three weeks. The kids are loving helping out with them!

Haley loves playing mommy with the kittens, especially the girl one. She named her Pickle. The boys are just as careful with them, and have each taken a liking to the two boy kittens and have named them Hawk (Daniel's favorite) and Spots (Dylan's favorite).

I think there are so many lessons learned from caring for animals as we help these little guys have a chance at growing big and strong... Patience, gentleness, responsibility, service, respect for life, and the list could go on and on.  And you know something?  I get to remind myself of some of those key values, too.

Here are the pictures:

He took this picture with him to show the class.

Daniel giving Hawk a ride on the tiny toy wagon.  He was so slow and gentle.

You couldn't give them a ride like that now, they move around way too much!  :)
